Next in the countdown of my most popular patterns is my Zastruga Shawl – a solution to that knitter’s age-old quandary of what to do with mini-skeins.

Designed for 100g of 5 x 20g fingering-weight mini-skeins or 100g+ of gradient yarn, the pattern instructions include guidance on how to make the shawl bigger … also known as going ‘off piste’.

If you need a hand finding mini-skeins, you could try raiding my stash but you’d have a fight on your hands … rather you might find it more convenient to check out some of my previous blog posts on this topic: have a read of this post or this post, both of which are packed to the rafters with lots of mini-skein suggestions!
